Abstract

Introduction: The relationships of affection in the family nucleus have become an important factor for psychology, due to their influence both on the installation of a healthy personality and on the triggering of psychopathologies throughout life. Objectives: Based on the re-reading made by Elsa Oliveira Dias of the work - The Maturity Theory by D. W. Winnicott, this research sought to investigate the impact of affective relationships on the formation of the psychotic personality. Aspects of early childhood that can contribute to the etiological understanding of psychosis were investigated in order to unveil possible forms of intervention. Material and Methods: The bibliographic research method was used in order to investigate the Maturity Theory and the articulation of information available in complementary works by Winnicott. Results: Some experiences were observed that accompany the mother-infant relationship, which is established according to the interaction of both from the prenatal stage. Winnicott points out the importance of the environmental factor as the key point for the healthy or psychopathological development of the human being. Conclusions: Based on these studies, it is possible to broaden the horizons about the psychic constitution and the influence of the child's relationship with the environment.
